Twin-Centre Cuba Holidays

Pair Havana with the beach, with Trinidad, or with both — hand-built itineraries from the UK's Cuba specialists. ATOL protected.

A twin-centre Cuba holiday is exactly what it sounds like — two destinations on a single trip, with all the transfers and logistics handled for you. The most-booked pattern is a few nights in Havana for the music, history and Old Town, followed by a transfer to a beach resort or a colonial inland town. It is the best way to see Cuba properly without the planning headaches of going independently.

For 2026, the most popular twin-centre combinations from the UK are Havana with Varadero (the classic), Havana with Cayo Santa María (quieter, more luxury), Havana with Trinidad (cultural) and Havana with Cienfuegos (architecture and bay scenery). Triple-centres adding a third stop are increasingly common — every itinerary below can be extended.

Why book a twin-centre with us: we pre-allocate Air Europa flight seats, hold dedicated rooms at the partner hotels, and run direct private transfers between every leg — so you skip the Cuban domestic-flight chaos and the queues at hotel desks. ATOL-protected, fixed price, no separate add-ons.

Empty palm-fringed white sand beach with turquoise Caribbean water at Varadero, Cuba

Havana + Varadero

The classic Cuba twin-centre — three or four nights in Havana for the music, history and Old Town, then a short transfer to Varadero for the all-inclusive beach finish. Easiest logistics, widest hotel choice, best value. A 7-night split (3 Havana / 4 beach) is the most-booked combination of the year.

Long white-sand beach with sunbeds and clear turquoise water at Cayo Santa María, Cuba

Havana + Cayo Santa María

Quieter than Varadero with finer sand, fewer crowds and adults-only resort options. Reach the cay via the dramatic 48km causeway — a 4 to 4.5 hour transfer from Havana. Best for couples and honeymooners who want barefoot luxury after the Havana culture fix. Recommended pairing length: 4 nights Havana / 5 nights cay.

Plaza Mayor in Trinidad, Cuba with the bell tower of the Convento de San Francisco rising above colonial buildings

Havana + Trinidad

The cultural twin-centre. Trinidad is a UNESCO-listed colonial gem — cobbled streets, pastel houses, live son and salsa nightly on the Casa de la Música steps. Pair with Havana for a culture-first Cuba without the beach. Add a third stop in Cienfuegos or the Topes de Collantes mountains for a triple-centre. Recommended length: 3 Havana / 4 Trinidad.

The Moorish-style Palacio de Valle on the Punta Gorda peninsula in Cienfuegos, Cuba

Havana + Cienfuegos

Cuba's "Pearl of the South" was founded by French settlers in 1819, and it shows — the architecture is more Parisian-than-Spanish, the bay setting is one of the prettiest on the island, and the Palacio de Valle is the most photographed building outside Havana. Often combined with Trinidad as a triple-centre via the Sierra del Escambray. Recommended length: 3 Havana / 3 Cienfuegos / 3 Trinidad.

Building a longer Latin America trip?

Tailor a Mexico, Colombia or Caribbean multi-centre. Many of our 2026 twin-centre travellers pair their LATAM week with a contrast — Mexico City + Riviera Maya, Cartagena + the Coffee Region, or the Dominican Republic's east coast paired with Santo Domingo. Same all-in-one tailor-made build, broader supply, and our specialists hold the rates so prices don't shift between quote and booking.

How to Plan Your Twin-Centre Cuba Trip

How long should each leg be?

Three to four nights in Havana is the sweet spot — long enough to see Habana Vieja, the Malecón at sunset, the cars and a salsa night, but not so long that the city heat exhausts you. The second leg works best at 4 to 5 nights, especially if it is a beach. Going shorter than 7 nights total is rushed; 9 to 11 nights is ideal for a 2-centre or 3-centre.

Best time to go

November to April is dry season — lower humidity, cooler evenings, the postcard-perfect Cuba. May, June and September are cheaper but wetter; July and August are hot but lively. Hurricane risk peaks August–October. We brief every booked client on the current weather window for their chosen pairing.

Transfers between centres

We use private licensed transfers for every twin-centre leg — never the public bus, never a domestic flight if we can help it (Cuban domestic aviation is unreliable in 2026 because of the fuel crisis). Typical journey times: Havana to Varadero 2.5 hours, Havana to Cayo Santa María 4.5 hours, Havana to Trinidad 4 hours, Trinidad to Cienfuegos 1.5 hours.

Twin-Centre Cuba Holidays — FAQ

A twin-centre is a single holiday split between two destinations — typically Havana for the city break, then a beach resort or colonial town for the second half. Both stops are pre-booked, and a private transfer takes you between them. You unpack twice instead of moving around constantly.
