Your itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Mexico City (Friday)

Arrive at Mexico City International Airport and transfer to the Barceló México Reforma hotel or similar 5-star accommodation. The rest of the day is yours to begin absorbing the energy of this incredible city.

Day 2: Mexico City — Aztec Ruins, Coyoacán & Frida Kahlo

A full day exploring the capital. Start in the historic centre with the Zócalo, the magnificent Cathedral, and the Templo Mayor — the great Aztec temple rediscovered beneath the modern city. Head south to the bohemian neighbourhood of Coyoacán for lunch at a local restaurant, then visit the Frida Kahlo Museum (Casa Azul), the Blue House where the legendary artist was born and died. On Saturdays, browse the colourful Bazar de San Ángel.

Day 3: Querétaro & San Miguel de Allende

Depart for the historically important city of Querétaro, a key site in Mexico's fight for independence. After a city tour, continue to San Miguel de Allende — a favourite of artists, writers, and intellectuals, celebrated for its mix of Baroque and Neo-Gothic architecture. The iconic parish church of San Miguel Arcángel dominates the skyline. Settle into the charming Casa Primavera hotel or similar.

Day 4: Atotonilco Sanctuary & Guanajuato

Visit the majestic Sanctuary of Atotonilco, an 18th-century church and UNESCO World Heritage Site, its chapels adorned with extraordinary murals. Continue to Guanajuato, one of Mexico's most photogenic cities. Take in the panoramic view from the El Pipila monument, then explore the Juárez Theatre, the Basilica, the University, the famous underground streets (former riverbeds), and the romantic Callejón del Beso (Alley of the Kiss).

Day 5: Guadalajara — Pearl of the West

Drive to Guadalajara, Mexico's second-largest city and cultural powerhouse, known as La Perla de Occidente (The Pearl of the West). Visit the artisan district of Tlaquepaque, famous for its fine crafts and galleries. In the afternoon, explore the city centre — the grand Degollado Theatre, the Government Palace, the Cathedral, and a panoramic view of the magnificent Hospicio Cabañas.

Day 6: Tequila — Distillery, Tasting & Agave Fields

Journey into the magical landscape of Tequila. Visit La Rojeña distillery to see the full production process and enjoy a tasting. Then transfer to the unique Matices Hotel de Barricas, set among rolling fields of blue agave — the ancient plant that produces Mexico's most famous spirit. What our customers say

From travellers who visited Mexico with us

The Colonial Treasures tour was outstanding. Guanajuato completely stole our hearts — the coloured houses climbing up the hillside, the underground streets, and the mariachi bands in Jardín de la Unión every evening. The tequila tasting in Jalisco was a real highlight too. Fabian arranged everything perfectly, including a private guide for the Teotihuacán pyramids on our last day in Mexico City. We came home already planning our next trip.
