Mount Roraima Trek
The Lost World Expedition — an 11-day adventure to the summit of one of the oldest mountains on earth.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
Trip overview
Mount Roraima (2,810m) is one of the oldest geological formations on earth — a tepui (table-top mountain) whose summit plateau has been isolated from the surrounding lowlands for millions of years. The result is a surreal landscape of eroded rock towers, crystal-clear pools, carnivorous plants, and species found nowhere else on the planet. It was this extraordinary summit that inspired Arthur Conan Doyle to write The Lost World in 1912, and the reality is every bit as otherworldly as the fiction.
This 11-day expedition combines a half-day Caracas city tour with a 6-day guided trek across the Gran Sabana’s rolling grasslands and up to the cloud-wrapped summit of Roraima. It is a challenging but non-technical trek suitable for fit hikers with some multi-day trekking experience. All camping equipment, meals and guides are included.
From £2,649 per person based on 2 sharing. Groups of 6+ benefit from lower rates. Single supplement from £179. Fixed departure dates — contact us for availability.

What our customers say
From travellers who visited Venezuela with us
Venezuela surprised us at every turn. The Orinoco Delta wildlife — river dolphins, howler monkeys, toucans — rivalled anything we've seen in the Amazon. Mérida and the Andes were a completely different world with the cable car and páramo landscapes. The arepa street food was addictive. A genuinely adventurous trip and Travelfab handled the complexities brilliantly.

I'd wanted to see Angel Falls for years and Travelfab made it happen. The Canaima lagoon surrounded by waterfalls was spectacular, and sleeping in a hammock in a Pemon indigenous camp was a unique experience. Caracas requires sensible precautions but our guide was excellent and we felt safe throughout. Not a mainstream destination but that's part of the appeal.

Venezuela is one of the most beautiful countries we've visited. Angel Falls is beyond words — the helicopter flight over the tepuis and then the boat journey up the river to the base of the falls was a genuine once-in-a-lifetime experience. Los Roques archipelago afterwards felt like the Caribbean before tourism arrived. Fabian was honest about the logistics and everything went smoothly.
