Day 1: Fly from the UK · Arrive San José
Fly from the UK to San José (typically via Madrid or a US gateway). Your private driver transfers you to your hotel, where you meet your guide for an evening briefing on the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Into the Pacuare — white water & jungle lodge
Drive to the Pacuare River and raft Class II–III rapids through rainforest, with a riverside picnic lunch, arriving at a remote eco-lodge reachable only by river or trail.
Day 3: Rainforest day at Pacuare
Guided rainforest hikes from the lodge, with optional extras — a canopy rappel-and-zipline loop, horseback riding, tree-planting or a visit to a Cabécar indigenous community.
Day 4: Pacuare Gorge · transfer to Arenal
A final exhilarating raft through the Pacuare Gorge (Class III–IV), then a scenic transfer to the Arenal Volcano region; unwind in the natural hot springs in the evening.
Day 5: Arenal — sky tram, zipline & hanging bridges
Ride the Arenal Sky Tram for canopy views, fly the zipline circuit, and walk the 5km hanging-bridges trail eye-level with toucans, monkeys and the rainforest canopy.
Day 6: To the Pacific — Manuel Antonio
Travel to the Pacific coast and the laid-back town beside Manuel Antonio National Park, with lunch en route and a free afternoon to settle in by the sea.
Day 7: Manuel Antonio National Park
A guided naturalist walk through one of Costa Rica's most wildlife-rich parks — sloths, white-faced capuchins, iguanas and seabirds — followed by time on its postcard beaches.
Day 8: Manuel Antonio at leisure
A free day on the Pacific: relax, or add an optional Damas Island mangrove boat tour, a sunset catamaran or a jungle night walk.
Day 9: Fly home
Transfer to San José International Airport for your flight back to the UK, arriving home the following day.
